Ownership
Users retain ownership of scripts, screenplays, treatments, outlines, novels, pitches, and uploaded materials.
PlotCandy does not claim ownership of user-created intellectual property.
Users grant only the limited license necessary to process submitted materials and provide requested platform functionality.
AI Assistance
The platform provides AI-assisted writing, editing, analysis, brainstorming, scoring, and creative suggestions.
Outputs are recommendations only. Users remain solely responsible for final scripts, copyright compliance, commercial use, legal review, and professional submissions.
No Legal, Financial, Or Business Advice
Nothing produced by the platform constitutes legal, financial, investment, tax, publishing, entertainment, agency, or business advice.
Users should consult qualified professionals before making legal, financial, submission, production, or business decisions.
User Responsibility
Users agree not to upload copyrighted works they do not own, confidential materials they lack permission to share, stolen intellectual property, illegal content, malware, or harmful software.
PlotCandy may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or platform policies.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlotCandy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from platform use.
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user during the twelve months preceding the applicable claim, unless prohibited by law.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey. Venue is courts with appropriate jurisdiction.
